90 Minutes off the pitch with Buxton police

⚽ FULL TIME: BUXTON POLICE 4 – 0 OFFENDERS ⚽

This afternoon, officers from Buxton Neighbourhood Team, supported by Local Policing Units, responded to reports of a suspected drug deal involving a red vehicle.

👀 Officers quickly spotted the vehicle, which made off at speed — but the home side weren’t giving up possession that easily.
🚧 With some excellent support play from eagle-eyed motorists, the road was effectively “closed down”, forcing the vehicle into a cul-de-sac with no way out… game over.
🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ The four occupants made a break for it in different directions, but after a determined foot chase — and further assists from local residents — all four were tracked down and detained.
🚔 The vehicle was confirmed stolen and running on false plates.
👮‍♂️👮‍♀️ Three males and one female were arrested for a catalogue of offences, including:

Concerned in the supply of Class B drugs
Criminal damage
Theft of a motor vehicle

🚆 British Transport Police would also like a word with two of the males following reports of trespass on the railway line.
